The Affordable Connectivity Program is an FCC benefit program that helps ensure that households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare, and more.
The benefit provides a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price.
The Affordable Connectivity Program is limited to one monthly service discount and one device discount per household.
The Alamo Senior Center provides a variety of services for persons 60 and over. The program is governed by Federal Guidelines, administered by the NM Aging & Long Term Services Department, and sponsored by the City of Alamogordo.
The Alamo Senior Center's mission is to provide services for persons 60 and over and their spouses regardless of age. The Center is a social environment, which provides support, education, recreation, nutrition and entertainment for elderly persons in Alamogordo and the surrounding area. The Center's goal is to provide an opportunity to maintain a vital role in life for all persons.
Open Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. for activities. The Fitness Center is open from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Closed on holidays.
